The family that slays together, stays together. That was us and, technically, still is. We coined that phrase in the early 2000s (if you coined it before us, forgive us, we didn’t know). People have often complimented our family on the close ties we have, and that “slays/stays” thing was part of our response: we slay bad guys as a familial unit in the virtual world, and in the spiritual world too.

![]() What to write? What to write. What to write...? That is truly the question for blog posts when your mind and skills are being dragged in five bagazillion directions. What subject? What would someone else find interesting? What do I find interesting? An answer isn’t easy when I add that I haven’t been writing consistently since before I earned my second degree nearly three years ago. (My second degree was built around visual art so not nearly as much writing required.) Realizing this brought me to the conclusion: I don’t know where to start because I haven’t any ideas. Yeah I realize the questions I posed in the early portion of this paragraph already stated that, but I guess I just needed to see it said this way to make that solidified landing required to move into the solve-the-dilemma stage. Enter the myriad of writing prompt generators an internet search will spit out for consideration. I perused several–like a dozen–and chose generic generation options. Lots of ideas to consider. Almost too many. So I went with one of the first story prompt returns from The Story Shack. |
