Welcome to September! The quintessential fall. Quintessential because, fall indeed “starts” this month (whether you like it or not, and whether the weather reflects that or not) with the Autumnal Equinox (equal day, equal night). So begins our slow descent into darkness with days abysmally short and nights abominably long. Though the holidays are always nice.
Anyway… (read more of this post) Recaps
This last month was incredibly important for us and represents a huge mile marker. We made our first product, “The Cryptosphere: an RPG Escape Room” available for sale on our website in its PDF version. We were also able to get it onto Fantasy Ground’s Forge as a VTT version and on DriveThru RPG in its PDF format.
The goal is to have all of our products available in PDF format (which is optimized for use digitally or paper) and on the major VTTs (Fantasy Grounds, Foundry, and Roll20). We’ve signed a contract with Foundry for protected downloads, though we’ve been waiting to package our product on that platform and make it available for sale until theirVersion 10 Stable Release is available (which they just recently released, so stay tuned!). We’ve been working our way through the Roll20 creator system, so we hope to be available on that platform soon! We’ve got our social media pages in full swing with almost daily content (we take breaks on Sunday) for your consumption and interaction! We’d love to hear from you and let you get to know us in turn. Since launching “The Cryptosphere”, we’ve made our first sale and hope it’s the first of many more to come! Spoilers
So, what’s next? Our next product, of course!
We want to put out as many titles as we can, but we also want these products to be as thorough and well made as possible, so we know things may take a little longer for us than other publishers. But here’s what we’re working on now: Catalogue of Curious Creatures, Characters, and Constructs![]()
Our pre-made creature/monster product, these catalogues will feature themed adversaries for your players (whether taking part in combat or other encounters). Our first volume will contain four “carnies” or circus folk that one may typically see at such a venue. This will be quickly followed up by the second volume which will feature more mystical/mythical/out-of-the-ordinary creatures that one may see at a fantasy circus/carnival. These products will feature a portrait for each entry with it’s accompanying stat block and a tactics block. It will also feature a standalone page that can be printed off for your players that contains flavor text and other roleplaying devices that they can use, for example, with a good knowledge or similarly appropriate roll to gain information on the creatures. We plan to make this a standard feature of the Catalogues.
The Malcontent Mansion![]()
This is another one-shot dungeon that delves deeper into “horror” (though we won’t promise it will be the spookiest thing you’ve ever played; our family loves psychological thrillers, not so much “horror”) with an inverted mansion that feels more like a twisted fun house than anything else. There’s a mystery thrown in there, to boot.
Otherwise, life plods on and we’re eager to keep moving forward and making progress as a company!
